"Coming To America"

It’s about 3:00am here on Wednesday, July 18th (2:00pm in Texas on Tuesday, July 17th).

Well, our time in The Peoples Republic Of China is over. We have left Guangzhou and are now in Beijing for our final night in this strange land. Then from Beijing arriving in Texas, America on Wednesday night, July 18th.

We must say….this had been like a dream ! We feel like we’ve had LiLi for weeks now….she’s doing so well. She’s everything we hoped for and more. We’re so excited about her and everything God had done for us. We’ve absolutely loved our time here in China and definitely would like to come back soon. We are in agreement that this has been the greatest time of our lives.

We’ve met so many great people here and have got to know some of the other adoption families better. One thing we’re certain of, these families who are adopting are very special people. Extra special ! Many of the families that we’re getting to know are also adopting “special needs” children just like LiLi. A great example is the Zimmer family (see Rick and lil’ Faith with Mike and LiLi below). Faith is precious and believe us when we say…she is full of life. Yes, the parents we’ve met here who are adopting are very special people indeed and we’re better people to have met them.

The first pic below is all of the adopted angels from our group. This is the famous “red velvet chair pic” of all the kids. The rest of the small pics are of our time at the “White Swan” during the last couple days of this wonderful trip.

We really hope that this website has provided you a glimpse of just how special this time has been for this Adkins family. We’ve tried not to be too detailed with our daily posts. For those of you interested, please know that we would be happy to share any and all thoughts and details of our trip with anyone who is interested. We welcome any questions or comments. May God bless all of you.

Could you bring me home one of those precious children? I am so happy and proud of you guys....love the pics, love the church pics (amazing), and especially love the one with Easton and Lili in their chinese dress. Be careful on your venture back! Prayers are with you! When can I meet her, and see that beautiful room of hers? Kelli, Rick, and Rhet
