Not Yet .....

Unfortunately, we were not able to get LiLi today as hoped. We are scheduled to get her tomorrow morning at 9:30am on July 9th (8:30pm Texas time on July 8th). We were disappointed, but we are also able to rest a bit today after getting checked in to our hotel. We really need it after the past few days (see prior posts for details). Today, we walked around outside of our hotel room {which is really nice by the way} in Changsha. I don’t think we’ve ever felt more out-of-place in our life. We were the only non-Chinese people within site. A really strange feeling (understatement). Everyone (and we do mean everyone) stared relentlessly and analyzed us as they almost fell off of their bike, cart, mo-ped, bus or off the back of the truck they were riding on. Some on the street would try to speak to us…… they are really getting a kick out of Eston. We realize we are not being very detailed or specific in our posts but this whole process is incredible. We know that we haven’t seen anything yet, as tomorrow we will have LiLi and our lives will forever be changed. Thanks to everyone for your comments and emails of support and encouragement.

Aw, man. We can't wait to see her! We keep your website up 24/7 and keep hitting refresh hoping to see Eston & his sister. We were surprised to hear how the locals are reacting to you. I guess we take it for granted that America is a melting pot. According to our calculations, you should see her in 10 hours and 17 minutes :-)

We love you all.

Hey Guys,

We got home late last night and were so anxious to see what was happening with you. Thanks so much for keeping us all updated.

Savannah hasn't been able to sleep because she is so excited. (She's takes after me.) I thought it was about our trip to MN and the contest she was in, but it was about Lili of course! I should have known that!

I'm selfishly glad you didn't get her yet as I wanted to be aware of the exact moment it was happening. Now I can! Savannah and I won't get any sleep tonight.

Can't wait to see your next blog. As many details as possible would be super.

Love, prayer, and jumping up and down excitement,
Aunt Tammy

Ummmm.....didn't know you all had a blog until I saw your comment on Rachael's blog! What great pictures of you guys on the Great Wall!! David and I have been thinking about you and if your entry was correct about meeting LiLi, then you have had her for about one hour. Saying a prayer that the transition is smooth and she instantly feels the love that has been growing in you all for the past several months. May God bless your family of four.
